Q. 3 Did all the children in the class eat the same food items yesterday? Why?

Ans. No, because it depend on their native states and habits of the family. 

The different children come from different families so it is not possible to take same food items at a time.

Q. 4 You must have noticed that in the picture there is one child in whose house no food was cooked. What could be the reason?

Ans.

There could be one or more reasons for it.

1.  The family of the child is too poor to afford two square meals in a day. 

2. The family member who usually cooks food may be sick. 

3. There is no fuel for cooking the food.

Q. 5. Has it ever happened to you that on some day you were very hungry but there was nothing to eat? If yes, why?

Ans. Yes, one day there was no gas to cook the food at our house. So my mother was unable to cook anything. 

Q. 6 How do you know that you are hungry?

Ans. In hungry, I feel a slight pain in my stomach. Thus it gives a sensation of that the stomach is empty.

Q. 7  How do you feel when you are hungry?

Ans. We get strange sensation in stomach which is the signal that we are hungry. When we are hungry we like eating something.

Q. 1 Why was Dadi not able to climb the stairs quickly?

Ans. Dadi was not able to climb the stairs quickly because she was old and weak.

Q. 2 How does Dadi like to have her dal?

Ans. Dadi's teeth has become weak due to her old age. So, she doesn't eats food that is easy to chew and bite. 

Dadi likes to dips her chappatis in the dal so that it becomes soft and can be eaten easily by her.

Dadi likes to have some sugar in her dal because she belongs to Nagpur and people in Nagpur put some sugar in dal.

Q. 1 How many persons in the story can eat bhutta easily and why?

Ans. Three persons in the story can eat bhutta easily due to strong teeth. They are Vipul, his mother and his mami.

Dadi has weak teeth due to her old age, while chhutki is too young and does not have teeth. So, Dadi and chhutki cannot eat bhutta.

Q. 2 Can all old people eat bhutta? Why?

Ans. No, all old people cannot eat bhutta due to their old age. In most cases, the teeth become weak in old age.

Q. 3 For four months Chhutki will have only her mother’s milk. That is her only food. Why?

Ans. Four month old babies do not have teeth. So, they feed on only their mother’s milk.  Mother’s milk is the best source of nutrition for infant. 

Digestive system of infant is not strong enough to digest other food products such as cow’s milk. 

The immune system of Chhutki is also not well developed as she is an infant.
